Balloon Fiesta Transportation

FAQ’s

Why should I use this service?

• Because we have a pass that allows us to use roads that are closed to passenger cars.  No traffic!  This closed route allows us to move into and out of Balloon Fiesta Park with ease. • We hand you the admission ticket (no extra step to buy a ticket) and  • we have a caring and entertaining staff that take care of you along the way!

How long does it take to get to the Park and back?

Between 20 and 40 minutes, depending on if you are on the first stop or the last stop on the route.  From the closest hotels to the Park (the Pyramid Marriott and the Courtyard Marriott) we averaged 8-12 minutes to get in last year.  We average 20-30 minutes to drop off at all hotels after each event too.

I’m looking at the Balloon Fiesta map of the Park at www.AIBF.org Where does your service drop-off and pick-up?

On the left side of the map you’ll see a black oval marked “Transit Area”.  That is our drop-off and pick-up point.

Why does it cost $30?  For more than one person it adds up fast!

Yes, we realize that, so we offer exceptional value and customer service.  The $30 includes the general admission ticket, the transportation (typically a large motor coach), tax, the tour guide – and don’t forget about that speedy route! The guide checks people in at each location and then answers all kinds of questions en route.  Essentially it turns into a mini Albuquerque tour.  Balloon Fiesta does not require a ticket for people 12 and younger: we charge just $15 for kids.  For children who are 5 and younger, who sit on laps and do not require a seat, they are free into the Park AND FREE on our transportation too.

Is there food at Balloon Fiesta Park? Do the vendors take credit cards?  What else is there to do there?

There are over 100 vendors that line the east side of the balloon field.  They sell a variety of foods typically found in a state-fair-type-setting.  They sell every type of ballooning souvenir you can imagine.  And there are exhibits too, like the rock climbing wall, the chainsaw carvers and the discovery balloon tent as well as entertainment like strolling Mariachis and other entertainers in the main band stand.  Almost half of the vendors take debit and credit cards for payment.

Can I stay at Balloon Fiesta Park all day?

Yes you can.  Some of our passengers have stayed all day and they told us that a lot of the vendors took a break mid-day, there were practically no other visitors besides them in the Park and they did end up spending a good amount of time in the beer tent waiting for the evening events to begin.  Because we need to hold a seat for you for two events and you’ll only require one admission ticket we charge $55 for all-day service.
